H7 Geluid§ 1 Geluid maken en horen
Geluid wordt geproduceerd door geluidsbronnen. Geluid ontstaat door
de trillingen in een geluidsbron (bijv. bij een stem trillen de stembanden).
Om het geluid te kunnen horen heb je een tussenstof nodig. Geluid heeft
tijd nodig om te verplaatsen, dit wordt de geluidssnelheid genoemd. Voor
iedere stof is de geluidssnelheid anders. Met een formule kan je ook de
afstand berekenen,
Afstand = Geluidssnelheid x Tijd
Je kan geluid horen doordat het trommelvlies met de geluidstrillingen
gaan meetrillen. Als de luchtdruk lager wordt beweegt het trommelvlies
naar buiten en andersom. Het werkt zo: gehoorbeentjes → vloeistof in
slakkenhuis → gehoorcellen ‘vertalen’ de trillingen in elektrische
signalen → via gehoorzenuw naar hersenen.
