Facebook is an online social networking website. Facebook is used to keep in touch with friends, post
photos, share links and exchange other information. People share their personal information in form
of a photo album that allows registered users to create personal profiles, upload photos and videos,
send messages and keep in touch with friends, family and colleagues. Facebook is a social media
teaching tool. Teachers can create a Facebook page and post useful information for the students.
Teachers can also have an online Facebook discussion. Teachers can create a group with the students
so the teacher and students can share their homework and useful information among them. With
that teachers and students can build strong classroom relationship. Facebook helps students to get
information regarding schoolwork, such as projects and assignments. Facebook is also a
communication tool for everyone. You can have a private conversation with anyone or a friend by
sending them a direct message to their profile. You can also comment on a picture or post of a
person to start a chat with them. Facebook helps you to keep in touch with friends and family which
stays far away from you or across the country. You can make a phone call to them anytime. You can
also communicate with them through messaging and posting, you can play few different types of
games with them online. If you find anyone with similar interest as you, you can add them and have a
conversation with them. Facebook gives useful information to everyone such as environmental issues,
information about a business or company and personal information about a person. By searching
THE GUARDIAN or other newspaper, you will get the information about what’s happening around
you and the world. If you want to find out more details and information about any business or brand,
you can search it on Facebook and you will get it. If you are curious about any person and want to
find out more about them, you can find them in Facebook. You can also watch videos and read useful
article that have been posted by people to gain information.
Features makes Facebook to be used easily. One main features of Facebook is news feed, it is used by
users to post content on network and it also update users the post every time they log in to their
Facebook. “Send friend request”, “Delete request”, “Accept friend request”, “Unfriend” is another
Facebook feature. Send friend request means you can add a particular person as friend and delete
request means you want to cancel your friend request, accept friend request means you accepts a
person friend request and they will be able to see your post, unfriend means you want to remove a
person from your friend list, by doing that the person will not be able to see your post. The next
feature of Facebook is wall, wall is your profile space in Facebook, in wall you can change your profile
picture and cover picture, and you can also add a post in your wall and view the time and date of the
post. Like, comment and share button is another feature of Facebook. That buttons is used for post, if
you like a random post you can like the post by pressing the like button and if you want to give your
opinion on a post, picture or video you can tap the comment button and write your comments. If you
want to share a post, video or picture you can click the share button and you can write a caption on
the post that you want to post. However, message and inbox is a Facebook feature, you can send
message to your friends or anyone by clicking the messenger button and the messages will be save in
the inbox. Next Facebook feature is notifications, notifications will appear if there’s a message from
anyone or if someone has added you as friend from your profile page, and if someone has like or
comment your post. Lastly, Facebook groups can be created by individual users, groups are created
to allow group member to chat, share useful information, share media and share editable
documents.

want to post a picture with the place of the name that you are in. The simplicity of Facebook is its
login/sign up page. You can open a Facebook account with just a basic information of yourself. It is
easy to use by everyone all over the world. The personalisation of the Facebook is the user’s
information. You can write all your information in your Facebook account such as birthday, work
place, place you studied and interests. With that you can avoid adding fake Facebook profile.
Facebook is a multi-platform app, you can use Facebook from your mobile phone, computer, tablet,
and laptop. It is important to update your Facebook because it keeps your Facebook safe from bugs
and adds more useful features on it. Facebook does not have offline availability, it only updates when
you have an internet connection
The limitation and issues of Facebook is Facebook’s privacy, you can easily find anyone’s profile by
searching their name. You can also easily steal their profile picture and their personal information
from Facebook because the Facebook’s privacy is not secure. Private status is published publicly, even
though your privacy settings is only see by Facebook friends but it is visible by public too. Post is not
appropriate and violence, people post inappropriate and violence things and it is seen by everyone
and also children. Children learn inappropriate stuff from Facebook and it is not good. The social
implication of Facebook toward the society is increasing. Facebook have a great impact on young
people. Young generation use Facebook mainly to chat and share pictures with their friends.
Facebook is getting addictive for most of the people out there. It can be really dangerous when
people use Facebook while driving such as answering friends and family calls or replying texts. Some
people are so addictive that they spent their whole day going through Facebook, watching videos,
playing Facebook games and wasting their time at home or public places. This can affect their mental
and physical health by staring at the phone or computer the whole day and skipping meals to just
enjoy using Facebook.
The Facebook was launched on 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg for Harvard University students to share
information, searching for friends in your location and visualisation of social network. In 2005, the
Facebook website was open for other colleges and then it was available for the public all over the
world. Then profile photo was invented so that users can add their picture as a profile picture. In
2006, News feed and user profiles with mini feeds was added and displayed in Facebook as user
activity. You can post a picture of yourself or pictures of what happening around you with a caption
on your feed. In 2007, anyone 13 years old can access Facebook with an email address. In 2008, users
were allowed to add application tab to their profiles and a publisher tool bar which allow users to
update status and post image. In 2009, you could use Facebook on a mobile phone instead of a
computer or laptop. Fan page was invented on the same year so that users can see an individual’s
updates on their feed. In 2010, the Facebook profile page was redesigned and common information is
displayed. In 2011, “View As” was introduced, it allows users to preview their page by clicking the top
right corner. Facebook also introduced Ticker Feature which shows things you can already see on
Facebook. Video calling and Timeline was also introduced in 2011. In 2012, Facebook App Centre was
introduced, it is a mobile store which is a mostly games app. You can get a Facebook app from an
app store or a play store for free. You can also use it as free from a web browser for computers and
laptops. Facebook allows business to display information, pictures and videos, and communicate with
over one million individual. With that business can promote and sell their products over the
Facebook. Facebook provides useful app such as photo editing app, games, and horoscope for
everyone to enjoy.
