Week 23
There are some slides on the week 23 folder that gives you an overview
of what to expect in the first, second and third year of the degree
programme you have chosen.
There are no exams in the first year. You will only have a few mini tests.
You will start to have exams in your second year.
Statistics and maths are actually quite different things. With statistics, it’s
more about learning the story behind it.
The statistics module will not be run like the maths module. You will not
be doing SOB kind of assessments. Each fortnight, some materials will
become available to you where you work through a series of exercises.
You do this in your own time. You submit a piece of work every other
week. The work is not assessed.
The foundation year grade will not count towards your overall degree
grade. But you will need to pass the modules in your foundation year to
progress onto the first year.
You will get a grade for each module in your foundation year.
You will have access to the foundation year module page through the
summer and you should have access to them for the rest of your degree
duration.
Everyone will be doing 5 modules in the first year of the Psychology
degree.
