Dear dragon’s dens
Below is my business starting plan I am seeking investment for my new start-up business idea and
have decided to apply for the dragon’s dens. My business would be a takeaway that serves fast food.
My business would be in Burnley this is because there are not many takeaways in Burnley. My USP
would be fast services and opening till late at night. My takeaway will be serving Chinese cuisines
because is quite popular around Burnley. I have chosen Chinese fast food because it can be made
fast and it could be transported easily. My takeaway will specialise in Cantonese food. The most
common Cantonese cooking method is stir-fry and streaming. This will benefit my business because
it is fast and easy to prepare and fast cooking time
My business is a small takeaway this is because I think in my area there are not many takeaways this
will benefit my takeaway as there’s less competition. opening a small business allows me to be self-
employed. Being self-employed allow you to use your idea and make the business how you want.it
also give you freedom as you’re the one in charge. This is called sole trading. Sole trader is a person
who is the exclusive owner of a business, entitled to keep all profits after tax has been paid but liable
for all losses.

Skills needed to run a business
Patience
Patience is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, problems, or suffering without becoming
annoyed or anxious. I am very patient with things such as waiting for meetings and also very patient
with people. This skill will help me to deal with customers as a customer sometimes have loads of
requirement without patience you will show signs of bad manners or can be to them disrespectful.
Patience is very important in all working environment because everyone works at a different speed
so you’ll have to tolerate others that are slower than you. Sometimes goals and targets will have to
take time to be achieved meaning you’ll have to be patient with it. Without patience, you are likely
to give up.
Team working
Team working is Co-operation between those who are working on a task. Teamwork is generally
understood as the willingness of a group of people to work together to achieve a common aim.
Teams don't work well without teamwork. Teamwork is important for the success of all businesses.
Businesses need new, fresh ideas to succeed in the competitive world teamwork can bring new ideas
together because everyone is different and will have different life experience and different hobbies,
so this allows ideas to form. I think I work very well in a team this is because I respect others idea
and I can communicate effetely with others
