you read.

Title of this book: Looking for Alaska

Writer of this book: John Green

Character : Describe the personality of the main character. What is
he/she like? What is his/her goal, strength, weakness?
Who is his/her helper and adversary?
Miles halter is the main character of the story. His new friends also call him
Pudge. Miles has a weird talent, he is really good in remembering the last
words of a lot famous people. The appearance of Miles is regular. He is a bit
skinny but he is really bad in making new friends. So when he finely made
some friends on his new school he was very happy. Their names are Chip,
‘Colonel’, Takumi and Alaska.

Setting: When and where does the story take place and in what
kind of social environment? Be as precise as possible.
Imagine that a painter will make a painting of your answer,
he would need a lot of information from you to make a
detailed painting!
Place: Most of the time they are at school, named Culver Creek. Sometimes
the are in their own rooms or visiting friends and family. And
the Smoke place.
Time: I think the story takes place in 2010 because that’s the time when the
writer wrote this book.

The social setting includes situations taking place at a certain time
period in history, social trends, rules of behavior (the do’s and don’ts
of the time). Don’t forget to think about how those situations affect the
main character! What is his/her role in a particular situation? Describe
this role and the situation he/she is in.
