Exocriene klieren = zweet- en verteringsklieren die producten maken die in het uitwendige milieu
komen
Endocriene klieren = hormoonklieren die hun producten aan het bloed en aan het weefselvloeistof
afgeven
Hypofyse (centrale hormoonklier) zorgt voor de coördinatie door het zenuwstelsel en hormoons-
telsel te verbinden
- achterkwab: vanuit de uitlopers van neuronen uit de hypothalamus worden hier hormonen
aangevoerd
- voorkwab: maakt zelf hormonen, die andere hormoonklieren tot actie aanzetten
Releasing hormonen (RH’s) worden afgegeven aan de hypofysevoorkwab door de uitlopers van
neuronen van de hypothalamus als reactie op informatie van het lichaam
Inhibting-hormonen zorgen voor de het remmen van de productie van hormonen door de hypofyse
Hormonen gaan altijd via het bloed
Neurohormonen: hypothalamus —> via zenuwbanen —> hypofyse achterkwab —> productie neu-
rohormonen (bijv. ADH en Oxytocine)
Adenohormoon:
Hypothalamus —> releasinghormonen via bloed —> hypofyse voorkwab —> productie hormonen
(bijv. TSH/ FSH/ GH)

Groeihormoon, GH stimuleert deling van kraakbeencellen maar indirect
—> hypothalamus geeft GHRH af aan hypofyse —> GHRH zorgt voor productie van GH in hypo-
fyse —> GH komt in de lever —> lever maakt IGF

- hydrofobe steroidhormonen (gemaakt uit cholesterol) —> kunnen membranen passeren en
hebben een receptor in de cel zelf
- Tyrosinehormonen (gemaakt uit aminozuur tyrosine —> koppelen aan een receptor op het
celmembraan, zijn hydrofoob (door polaire onderdelen) maar passeren een celmembraan toch
niet gemakkelijk
- Eiwithormonen zijn hydrofiel en koppelen aan een receptor op het celmembraan
Als tyrosine- en eiwithormonen koppelen aan receptoren, veranderen ze waardoor de aan de bin-
nenkant een reactie ontstaat en een G-eiwit koppelt GTP aan de receptor. —> ontstaan se-
cundaire boodschapper = kleine moleculen die snel door het grondplasma kunne diffunderen
