6.1 De relatie mens en milieu
Dankzij biodiversiteit hebben we eten, kleding, medicijnen enz. De diensten en producten

Uitputting → mensen onttrekken stoffen uit milieu.
Aantasting → mensen veranderen het milieu.
Als onze vooruitgang niet ten koste gaat van de mens en natuur is er sprake van duurzame
ontwikkeling. Kringloopeconomie wanneer stoffen opnieuw gebruikt worden. Lineaire
economie is tegenovergestelde.
Hoge bevolkingsdruk in de wereld, want veel mensen maar niet genoeg hulpbronnen voor
iedereen. Dus meer druk op milieu.
Meer landbouwgrond nodig want steeds meer mensen. Biodiversiteit afgenomen doordat er
meer landbouwgrond nodig was, dus minder bossen enz.
6.2 Kringlopen
Lucht bestaat voor 0.04% uit CO2. Autotrofe soorten gebruiken CO2 om door fotosynthese
glucose te vormen (koolstofassimilatie). Deel glucose gebruiken ze bij dissimilatie →
vrijgekomen CO2 stoten ze uit, andere deel glucose worden omgezet in organische stoffen
waaruit de autotrofe soorten bestaan → heterotroof organisme eet autotroof → stoffen
komen in heterotroof organisme → wordt opgegeten door ander organisme → stoffen komen
in volgende organisme → sterft zonder gegeten te worden → wordt afgebroken bij
dissimilatie door bacteriën en schimmels → komt CO2 vrij → autotrofe nemen dit op.
Fossiele brandstoffen ontstaan als anaerobe bacteriën organische stoffen afbreken.
Lucht bestaat voor 97% uit stikstof. Ook stikstof in bodem. Stikstofassimilatie is als planten
stikstof gebruiken om stoffen als eiwitten en aminozuren te vormen. Als plant wordt gegeten
door dier dan maakt dier uit aminozuren eiwitten. Die eiwitten worden afgebroken waardoor
ammoniak vrij komt. Ammonificatie is als er ammoniak ontstaat door de dissimilatie van
ureum en eiwitten. Nitrificatie is het proces waarbij ammonium en zuurstof worden omgezet
in nitriet dat vervolgens met zuurstof wordt omgezet in nitraat. Denitrificatie is als nitraat
wordt omgezet in stikstofgas.
Stikstofbinding is een biochemisch proces waarbij stikstofgas uit de lucht (N2) omgezet
wordt in stikstofhoudende verbindingen die kunnen worden opgenomen door de plant (NH3).
