Nurses are expose to stress on daily basis. Prolonged and repeated exposure at work to
stress leads to occupational burnout. The consequences of stress that nurses are experiencing are
felt by the patients. The researched showed that patients have lower satisfaction with the care
they are receiving and nurses may are missed important changes in patients condition. For the

leaving the profession and early retirement.

Background Introduction
The research showed that 74% of nurses experience severe occupational stress at work at
some point in their carriers. This research proved that person-focused with correct
implementation of the coping strategies can reduce nurses occupational stress at workplace.
Methodology
The research was a double-blind, cluster-randomized approach with eight comprehensive
healthcare centers in Amman city, Jordan, where all were randomly assigned to control and
experimental group. Data was collected using Nursing Stress Scale, COPE from March 2019 to
August 2019, independent t test, chi-squared and ANOVA were used in descriptive and
inferential statistics.

I believe that this research is Level I.

The research used:
Descriptive and inferential statistics- Chi-square,
independent t-test and repeated measures ANOVA.
Ethical Considerations
Ethics approval committee was obtained from Jordan health ministry before data
collection, all participants were fully aware and informed regarding the goal of the study. The
participants were informed regarding risk vs benefits and their right drop out at any time during
the study. Consent form was obtained through information respondent sheet.
