Harry Potter woont bij zijn oom, tante en neefje. Harry is altijd verteld dat zijn ouders
zijn gestorven aan een auto-ongeluk en dat het enige wat Harry er aan heeft
overgehouden een litteken in de vorm van een bliksemschicht. Op Harry's 11e
verjaardag komt er een man: Hagrid. Hij verteld Harry een tovenaar is en dat zijn
ouders zijn gestorven door de slechtste tovenaar die ooit heeft geleefd: Voldemort.
Toen Voldemort Harry wilde doodden, de vloek terug kaatste en Voldemort verdween
en dat Harry allen dat litteken had. Harry is toegelaten op Zweinsteins hoge school
voor hekserij en hocespocus. Dat is een tovenaarsschool. Harry gaat met de trein
naar naar Zweinstein. als hij naar het perron wil ontmoet hij een jongen: Ron en in de
trein een meisje: Hermelien. als hij op school is wordt elke eerste jaars in een
afdeling geplaats. je heb: Giffondor, Ravenklauw, Huffelpuf en Zwadderich. Harry,
Ron en Hermelien komen bij Griffondor. Harry heeft een raar gevoel bij 1 docent:
professor Sneep. Hij denkt dat hij de steen der wijzen wil. Dat is een steen waarmee
je een drankje kan maken en dan heb je het eeuwige leven. Harry, Ron en Hermelien
vinden de kelder waar de steen ligt maar, eerst moeten zee toverschaak spelen en
dan gaat Harry alleen verder als Harry daar aan komt iet hij niet professor Sneep
maar professor Krinkel. Harry heeft dan de steen en krinkel valt hem aan opeens
hoort Harry een stem en krinkel gaat er tegen praten. Krinkel doet dan ze tulband af.
Op zijn achterhoofd zit nog een hoofd het hoofd van: Voldemort. als Harry krinkel
aanraakt verbrand hij. Harry probeert hem hem aan te vallen en raakt ze gezicht aan
verbrandt en de steen wordt vernietigd
