The first investigated documented Zodiac killing took place at a very isolated spot, At Lake
Herman Road in Vallejo, California on December 20, 1968. While 16-year-old Betty Lou
Jensen and her 17-year-old boyfriend David Faraday. Jensen and Faraday were both killed
with a .22 caliber semiautomatic handgun Witnesses were said to have noticed the young
couple huddled together in the front seat of Jensen's rambler station wagon on or about 10:15
and 11:00 pm nothing seemed unusual or suspicious witnesses claimed. But unfortunately
about 15 minutes later 11:15 pm something tragically horrific had happened. They discovered
riddled with bullets and laying outside the car. Betty Lou was lying several feet away from her
car with 5 gunshot wounds to the back. David was found next to the car. He was shot at close
range and later died on the way to the hospital. The second documented Zodiac crime/murder.
