Major and Career Goals
The degree that I have chosen to pursue is Psychology in Applied Behavior Analysis. I chose
this degree path because I think it’ll give me a solid foundation of knowledge required in
becoming a psychologist as well as moving forward toward graduate school. It is a dream of
mine to earn a degree in Psychology. My degree plan relates to my career goals first because it
aligns with the knowledge needed for success. For example, I chose Introduction to Cognitive
Psychology as an elective because I wanted to know more about the subject of cognition. I
believe further knowledge of the subject will be beneficial to me in regards to my career. The
second way my degree plan aligns my career goals is that I also chose other courses that are
relevant to the knowledge needed to gain more insight on particular subjects. My degree plan
aligns with my career goals because it enables me to pursue a graduate degree.
