Samenvatting hoofdstuk 13De wanden van arteriën en venen:
1. Tunica intima binnenste laag van het bloedvat
2. Tunica media middelste laag van het bloedvat
3. Tunica externa buitenste laag van het bloedvat
Arteriën hebben een dikkere tunica media met meerdere
elastische vezels. Zo kunnen zij de druk van het hart beter
opvangen.
Vasoconstrictie = vaatvernauwing
Vasodilatatie = vaatverwijding
Soorten arteriën:
- Elastische arteriën (a. pulomonalis en aorta) = deze vangen de drukveranderingen
tijdens de hartcyclus op.
- Musculeuze arteriën = vervoeren bloed naar skeletspieren en inwendige organen
- Arteriolen = hele kleine arteriën
Capillairen (haarvaten)
Zijn de enige bloedvaten waar uitwisseling tussen het bloed en het omringende interstitiële
vloeistof door de wanden mogelijk is. Een capillair bevat geen tunica media of tunica
externa. Door de capillairwanden kunnen water, opgeloste vetten en kleine opgeloste
stoffen. GEEN eiwitten.
De toegang van elk capillair wordt geopend en gesloten door een precapillaire sfincter
(kringspier).
Anastomose = een verbinding tussen twee bloedvaten, die bieden een alternatieve route
voor de bloedstroom.
- Arterioveneuze anastomose een bloedvat wat een arteriole met een venule
verbindt
- Arteriële anastomose verschillende arteriën voegen zich tot een grote arterie die
zich in de arteriolen vertakt
Venen
Venen halen bloed uit de organen en alle weefsels om ze terug te brengen naar het hart. Ze
hebben geen dikke wanden zoals de arteriën omdat ze niet tegen een hogedruk bestand
hoeven te zijn.
- Venulen = de allerkleinste venen
- Middelgrote venen = deze venen bevatten kleppen die ervoor zorgen dat het bloed
terug kan stromen, bijvoorbeeld in de benen
- Grote venen = v. cava superior en inferior
