Workplace Environment Assessment

This paper will discuss the workplace assessment results, identify two things that was

surprising from the results and one that was not, and explain what the results suggest about the

health and civility of my workplace. Also, a description of concepts presented in the article and

how they relate to the results of my workplace assessment, along with areas of improvement.

Lastly, two strategies supported in the article to improve and bolster success will be identified.

Workplace Environment Assessment Results

After doing this assessment, I found my workplace to be mildly healthy. It is a great

organization for teaching, academic, and professional growth and advancement, however, the

workload is unreasonable, unmanageable, and unfairly distributed. For the most part, the

organization has a great mentorship program, wellness for employees, great benefits but lack in

pay. The overall respect is there through the organization but has room for improvement. There

are also several avenues available for staff to voice their opinions, feeling, care, and concerns.


Two Surprised Outcomes and One Not

The main surprised outcome of this assessment for me was finding out my facility was

only mildly healthy and borderline to being unhealthy. Also the impact of lack of leadership

have on the overall culture and environmental atmosphere. The fact that it is a great teaching

facility and have great mentorship programs did not surprise me as it was one of the main

reasons I chose to work with this organization.
