Doelstelling zenuwstelsel (ZS):
Registratie van veranderingen binnen en buiten het lichaam en coördineren van
zinvolle respons erop met als doel het handhaven van de homeostase maar ook
communicatie en veiligheid.
- Homeostase handhaving is ook een taak van het endocrien stelsel, maar dit
reageert trager en het effect is langer van duur
- Zenuwstelsel werkt sneller maar effect is kort (elektrische fenomenen)
