Maryland Technology Consultants, Inc. (MTC) is a highly competitive Information Technology

consulting company with headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland. MTC was founded in May 2008.

,Maryland Technology Consultants (MTC) is in the business to provide consulting services to its

client base with highly skilled consultants. MTC’s Management is committed to maintain its

reputation to deliver the high level of service its clients expect, which is critical for MTC’s

continued success. To accomplish this, MTC must have the ability to recruit talented staff in a

very short time within the United States and other countries. While MTC is expecting to win

two large contracts, it will need to hire an additional 75+ consultants very quickly.

The current hiring process is completely manual, slow and error prone. It is perceived as a major

problem that needs be resolved as quickly as possible. Implementing an efficient technology at a

low cost, with proven security and expanded mobile reliability, will provide a much-needed

improvement to MTC’s hiring process. Recruiters and other personnel can perform their tasks

more efficiently. The hiring system solution also has to be flexible enough to adjust to procedural

changes within the organization. Furthermore, the hiring system must be easy-to-use and should

provide interfaces to MTC’s existing systems and networks. Providing human resources

personnel with efficient systems to recruit highly skilled consultants very rapidly will contribute

greatly to MTC’s growth goals. MTC urgently needs to select and implement an IT solution that

improves the hiring process, supports well informed recruiting decisions, and provides an

effective solution at a low cost that aligns with MTC’s strategic goals.

Maryland Technology Consultants (MTC) needs to carefully plan its growth strategy within a

very competitive environment which includes large IT consulting companies such as Hewlett-

Packard (HP), Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH), and Science Applications International Corporation

(SAIC). By the same token, it competes with several small companies within its market niches

that have well established customer bases. MTC can increase its competitive advantage by
