1. While studying project management, I have learned the proper way to conduct and
coordinate a project. Project management is all about finding the most efficient and
cost- effective route, while still accomplishing the company’s goals. It is the project
manager’s duty to assist in the budgeting and planning of the project and once this is
done, the project manager also needs to manage and control the progress of the project.
Many different aspects come into play while managing a project. A project manager
must be able to look at the bigger picture and put the needs of the project over their
personal needs. To be an effective leader it is important to set measurable and
achievable goals. I have also learned that to be an effective manager or leader you must
also adapt to change adequately and be able to properly motivate your team to achieve
the goals desired. A good manager will need to be able to take advantage of their
resources, while still effectively managing their team. A good project manager will
have great communication skills and good problem-solving skills to handle any
obstacles that may come up during the duration of the project.
2. An important part to any company is the company’s financial management. Just like
project management- financial management follows certain steps. Some of these steps
involve planning, organizing, controlling, and monitoring the financial resources
available to achieve the company’s goals. Financial management can be used in a
company to control the different financial aspects such as paying the vendors or
bringing in investments/income.
3. Another important lesson I learned would be corporate compliance. Each company has
its own set of rules, laws, and procedures that need to be followed correctly. The biggest

I have delt with in healthcare would be following HIPPA regulations. HIPAA stands
for the Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and this act sets rules
and regulations on how health information should be shared, stored, and used. HIPPA
regulations are used to help lessen the chance of fraud and help keep personal
information private such as a patient’s address, health insurance, and diagnoses.

1. Healthcare is always adapting and advancing. As a healthcare manager I will need to be
flexible and adapt to new changes especially with technology. Being able to properly
