SAMENVATTING
Inleiding; Er worden steeds meer genen gelokaliseerd die voor een erfelijke aandoening
zouden kunnen zorgen. Door de snelle ontwikkeling van het genetische testen, is het
belangrijk om te weten hoe Nederlanders hier tegenover staan. Dit kan worden getest aan de
hand van de persoonlijke beliefs en attitudes van een onderzoekspopulatie. Er is hier al eerder
onderzoek naar gedaan, maar omdat dit al bijna 10 jaar geleden is, is het belangrijk om dit na
meer ontwikkelingen nogmaals te doen. De onderzoeksvraag luidt: Wat is het verschil in
beliefs rondom genetische screening tussen Nederlanders vanaf 18 jaar die vinden dat het
gebruik van genetische testen door burgers wel gestimuleerd moet worden en die vinden dat
het dit niet gestimuleerd moet worden onder burgers?
Methode; voor dit onderzoek is gekozen om een kwantitatief cross- sectioneel onderzoek te
doen. De onderzoekspopulatie bestond uit 15 respondenten, waarvan 4 man en 11 vrouw. Aan
