Rijm : Rijm werd veel gebruikt om verhalen te vertellen omdat je rijm makkelijker
kon onthoudt. Verhalen werden vertelt omdat boeken schrijven lang
duurde en het kopen daarvan heel veel kostten. Hierdoor was het voor de
burgers (bijna) niet mogelijk om boeken te kopen. De monniken waren de
enige die konden lezen en/of schrijven. En zo ontstond dus de voorlees
cultuur.
