,LO1: Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of Cloud
Computing and its architecture.

Computing.
What is Cloud Computing:
Cloud Computing is a delivery of different services through the internet and
these servicing are through internet.
These resources include tools and application like data storage, servers,
database, networking and software.
Types of Cloud Services: As there are many kinds of service and cloud
computing services provide users with a series of function which are as follows:
• Storage, backup and data retrieval
• Creating and testing apps
• Analyzing data
• Audio and video streaming

,Evolution of Cloud Computing:
• Cloud Computing was first started far back in 1950s when mainframe
computers came into existence. In that time there were several users
which accessed the central computer via dummy terminals as the only
task was of these dummy terminals where to enable access data or
program virtually.
• As these mainframe computers were huge machines and they were very
much expensive to buy and maintain one for every single employee.
• In 1960s there was a major advancement in cloud computing when an
American Computer scientist J.C.R Licklider conceptualized an
interconnected system of computer.
• In 1969 Licklider helped to develop a very primitive version of the
internet which is known as Advanced Research Projects Agency Network
(ARPANET) which was the first network which allowed digital sources
to be shared among computers.
• In further there was many advancements in cloud computing came. In
1972 IBM released an operating system called Virtual Machin operating
system. This virtualization describes a virtual computer that acts as a real
one with a fully operational OS the concept evolved with the internet.

, • In 2000s the amazon web services emerged and amazon launched Elastic
Compute Cloud (EC2) in 2006 it allows many companies and individuals
to rent virtual computers through which they could use their own
programs or application.
• In 2007 IBM, google and several universities joined forces to develop a
server farm for research projects. It also has the year that Netflix
launched its video streaming services as with the help of cloud computing
we can access it anywhere not only we can use but many different people
