Amputaties bovenste lidmaat1. Oorzaken
Ziekte = tumoren, vasculaire problemen, chronische infecties
Trauma = chemisch, electrisch, mechanisch of trauma door verbranding
Congenitaal = aangeboren
Na medische interventie = bv. plexus brachialis (wanneer de arm echt afunctioneel is
en helemaal verlamd is)
Overzicht van mogelijke letselhoogte van amputatie. Het spreekt voor zich
dat hoe hoger de amputatie plaatsvindt, hoe meer functionaliteit verloren
gaat.
Voor een onderarm wordt er meestal gekozen voor de short below elbow
wat wil zeggen dat amputatie van 10cm onder de elleboog.
Partial hand = ring- en pinkvinger zijn geamputeerd (cilindergreep valt weg en de grote bal
greep, drievingerstopgreep en tweepuntsgreep blijft behouden)
Bij de voorarm = hoe langer de stomp, hoe meer pro- en supinatiemogelijkheid overblijft en
zorgt ervoor dat hoe meer de prothese functioneler is
2. Amputaties van de hand of gedeelten van de
hand
2.1. Polsexarticulaties
Amputatie van of thv het polsgewricht
Worden weinig uitgevoerd
Functioneel zien we dat de meeste patiënten het gebruik van de stomp
verkiezen boven de prothese (fixeren en sensibiliteit)
Patiënten die wel kiezen voor een prothese moeten rekening houden met
het feit dat de geamputeerde arm met prothese iets langer uitkomt dan
de “gezonde” arm
Protheses:
Er wordt een soepele koker op de voorarm aangepast waarop een prothesehand
gemonteerd kan worden (zowel mechanisch als myoelectrisch)

, Pro- en supinatie blijven actief mogelijk, maae een nadeel is dat de prothesearm
langer is dan de andere arm wat esthetisch problemen kan geven
Eerste = esthetische prothese
Middelste = mechanische prothese
Laatste = myoelectrische prothese
2.2. Voorarmamputaties
De lengte van de romp bepaalt mee de prothesemogelijkheden

Probleem = in België zat deze nog niet in het
