El noucentismeEs un moviment literari burgés anti-romàntic i poètic, en el qual predomina la raó i la
cultura clàssica. Proposa regularitzar i normativitzar la llengua, la literatura i la cultura
catalanes com a pròpies de la nació. Va ser la pujada al poder de la burgesia catalana. Va
néixer al 1906, any de publicació de:
- “Els fruits saborosos” de Josep Carner, que estableix el Noucentisme, és un
programa teòric referent.
- “La veu de Catalunya” d'Eugeni d’Ors, un intelectual que va explicar en que
consisteix el Noucentisme amb aquest diari glossari. Cada dia anava explicant coses
d’aquest moviment.
I va acabar al 1923 amb un cop d’estat que va acabar amb dictadura.
Aquest moviment va aconseguir coses com:
- La Lliga Regionalista d’Enric Prat de la Riba, un partit polític burgès que va
guanyar les eleccions.
- L’Institut d’Estudis Catalans (IEC), fundat al 1907 per Enric Prat de la Riba.
- La Mancomunitat de Catalunya, fundada al 1914, una institució que unia les 4
diputacions catalanes, va construir infraestructures culturals com biblioteques i
museus.
Pompeu i fabra va fer:
1. Normes ortogràfiques (1913)
2. Gramàtica catalana (1918)
3. Diccionari general català (1932)
