neuroanatomietermen en modulatoren
Met nadruk op coronale doorsnedes van de hersenen van mensen én ratten

Ik heb in dit documentje vooral geprobeerd om alle hersenstructuren die in BOX 1 genoemd werden,
te visualiseren met afbeeldingen van echte mensenhersenen, schematische afbeeldingen van
(mensen)hersenen, afbeeldingen uit de rattenhersenenatlas en andere soort afbeeldingen. Het doel
hiervan is het kunnen herkennen van structuren op coupes van échte hersenen. Ik heb me voor nu
gericht op coronale doorsnedes, aangezien we ons vooral met dit type doorsnede bezig hebben
gehouden bij de practica. Dus sommige aanzichten missen misschien nog.

De tekst is voor het grootste gedeelte letterlijk overgenomen van Canvas of internet, en de
afbeeldingen zijn allemaal van het internet afkomstig.

Ik heb ook veel websites gelinkt die handig zijn voor het leren van neuroanatomie. (Zie ‘Handige
websites’)

De hersengebieden die belangrijk zijn voor de vier modulatoren die we moeten kennen (uit BOX 6
met toegevoegde info van het internet) staan achterin.

Caudaal (staart) vs. rostraal (neus/snuit): kant van
staart vs kant van neus

Anterieur vs. posterieur: voor vs. achter

Mediaal vs. lateraal: naar het midden toe vs. naar de
zijkant toe

Craniaal: kant van de schedel (cranium = Latijn voor
schedel)



Coronale doorsnede brein: corona is latijn voor kroon, deze snede
volgt de lijn waarop een tiara op het hoofd zit.




Saggitale doorsnede: saggita is latijn voor pijl, iemand die en
pijl aantrekt om te schieten met een pijl en boog, trekt de pijl
over het saggitale vlak.




Horizontale doorsnede: de naam spreekt voor zich.
