Introduction

Imagine just for a second being a single parent, working full-time, attending school part-

time, assisting children with virtual learning all while we are in the middle of a global pandemic.

How is that even possible? Some people; are just programmed in a way that makes daily task

appear second nature, without a second thought. Is this a healthy, well-balanced life-style? It

could be for some, but we have to be honest with ourselves. Self-Assessments are a great way to

reflect, refocus, recharge and retrain their routine. Self-assessing allows the self-identification of

strengths and weaknesses, the ability to develop a plan to strengthen and maintain those areas,

and improvement.

Strengths and Weaknesses

When identifying my strengths and weaknesses, I used the Quality of Life Self Care Wheel.

This self-assessment wheel allowed me to look at the total person as opposed to just one area. In

the process, I identified my strengths as, passion, career/school, environment, and personal

development/relationships. While my weaknesses are health, rest/recreation, and finances.

In realizing my strengths, my passion throughout life has been to serve people. It does not

surprise me that my strengths surround the things that are most important to me. Family,

relationships and self-development are high on my list because it ties into my passion to serve.

Along with the environment. We have to have a sustainable environment in order to be able to

live on earth and be healthy. Recycling and using natural products have not always been on the
