the right thing!. These are the direct words of K du Preez and his/her feelings
and opinion in terms of the argument.
“ What do you think about van Dijk earning ZAR 1.9 billion?
I do not agree with the earnings he received. I do not believe that any one person
should be able to accumulate such an extravagant amount of money. I believe
that there should be a global law, that every cent earned after R99 million should
be given to government or into a fund - the taxes on the lower classes can be less
and the government would have more funding for infrastructure and improving
the country.
The fact that people are allowed to hoard wealth is unthinkable to me, there are
so many problems in the world and so many suffer, and yet, some people make
millions. Quoted by Sol Luckman “You need money to make money”, so Van Dijk
already had to have money in order to be able to invest in the shares of the
company.”
