Acute ontsteking = lokaal

Een chronische ontsteking ontstaat altijd uit een acute ontsteking!

Reuscellen zijn bijzonder, grote macrofagen met veel kernen (liggen in een rijtje)
Cytokines zijn belangrijk voor het aansturen van verschillende processen.
Granulomateuze ontsteking:
- Chronische ontsteking waarbij een granuloom ontstaat (een grote ronding)
ALS JE EEN GRANULOOM HEBT HEB JE ALTIJD EEN CHRONISCHE ONTSTEKING, WAARBIJ OOK
DE REUZE CELLEN BIJ BETROKKEN ZIJN.
