, Question1
1.1) A multilingual classroom is where learners or children speak more than one
language. Multilingual is when a person can speak 4 or more languages and if English
is being taught as a home language, it means that English is the learners first
language and English is the language the learners speak in the classroom. Two
factors to consider in promoting learner’s development in the use of English in the
classroom is that there would be classroom relationship. There will be interactions
between teacher and learners, communication will take place more effectively and
therefore teachers will have more communication will teachers. Questioning
learners could promote their development because this will support and extend
their learning and skills. Because there is a common classroom language group work
can take place. By speaking English in the classroom this could increase a person’s
vocabulary and this could therefore score them better writing results and therefore
improves academic results which means your first language is improved and you
have an improvement in grammar, comprehension and even sentence structure.
1.2) The difference between objective and subjective style learning is that Subjective
style writing is based on the writer’s point of view and experiences. “Subjective
writing or point of view is based on the writer’s own observation and experience. It
focuses on the writer’s personal point of view and not built on facts that others see,
or things others go through.” for example a blog. A subjective style writing where
people’s personal views are explored about. Objective style writing is a fact or idea
that is reviewed by many people. Everyone has a say and an opinion. Objective style
learning is fully built on facts and is unbiased. Objective style writing is even based
on a writers outside personal feeling, based on his facts. The main three purposes of
language are to express your opinions or thoughts, give direction to maintain some
sort of order and be informative, by giving and receiving information.
