De sociaalwerkboom
= Wortels staan voor de geschiedenis van sociaal werk
= Stam staat voor wat we gemeen hebben, onze waarden en waar we voor
staan als sociaal werker (eenheid).
= Takken (verscheidenheid van de opleiding, met de verschillende
afstudeerrichtingen en verschillende benamingen) bv. straathoekwerker,

= Boomhut waar de verschillende takken samenkomen en elkaar ontmoeten
Dit verwijst naar de samenwerking tussen organisaties om samen een doel t
bereiken.

• Verscheidenheid divers en uiteenlopend in de praktijk/ breed.

• Eenheid specifiek, context gebonden en niet waardenvrij (we gelo
in een aantal principes).

1) Particulier initiatief = bezorgde burgers die geld inzamelde en mind
bedeelde willen helpen.
2) Caritatief = uit liefdadigheid Bv. Warmste Week, Rode Neuzen Dag
3) Na WO2 meer overheidsbemoeienis. Sociale zekerheid is gekomen
de herverdeling van welvaart. In begin waren het burgers die aant
dingen willen verbeteren in samenleving en uiteindelijk zitten we n
met een overheid die corrigerend optreed.
4) Discussies over afbakening: van wie is het sociaal werk? Wie heeft
recht om dat sociaal werk uit te oefenen?
5) Er zijn periodes waarin verschillen (verscheidenheid) van sociaal w
minder benadrukt worden.
