Origin and history of Nanny Nina
Nanny Nina was founded in 2010 in Delft as "Nanny Madelief" and is growing ever larger.
Our babysitting platform links screened babysitters and parents in 22 cities in the Netherlands,
Belgium and Norway. That is why we changed our name to the international "Nanny Nina" in
2019.
Nanny Nina works with 14 city captains, marketers, educational experts, data crunchers and
cold turkey coders in Haarlem, Delft and Ho Chi Mingh.
Arranging a babysitter is something personal.
So with Nanny Nina (before Nanny Madelief) you can use a free app to find a babysitter, au
pair or host parent who has been screened beforehand. In this way Nanny Nina provides
reliable and qualitative babysitters for children.
The screening process
The babysitting candidates are screened based on criteria such as experience, educational
background and age. After this, Nanny Nina will check online to see if there are any
peculiarities of the babysitting candidate.
Step 3 consists of a job interview in which examines whether the babysitter can respond
adequately to common situations with children.
After that, Nanny Nina can be described as reliable and personal (Nanny Nina, 2020).
, Motives for going international
The motives that have been chosen to internationalize the brand are:
- Growing the company; accessing a broader market
- Helping to improve the general company image
- Applying theoretical knowledge in practice
- Helping busy parents in other countries
SWOT of the company line
Strengths
- A screening of the babysitter beforehand.
- Everything can be conveniently arranged via an app.
- There will always be children; so, there will always be a market.
Weaknesses
- Lacking in management staff.
- Online content could use more traffic.
- Marketing communication less strong.
Threats
- Many parents work at home due the pandemic.
- Not just everybody is allowed access to the country; because of the risk of contagion
- Worsened economic situation
- Birthrates (newborns) & income in japan
Opportunities
- Many parents work at home due the pandemic; the babysitter can take the children out
so that the parent(s) can quietly do their job.
