NaTech Hoofdstuk 4 - Beweging en krachtDe snelheid is de afstand die je per uur of per seconde aflegt. Bij een constante snelheid leg
je elke seconde (of elk uur) een even grote afstand af. Routeplanners gebruiken de
gemiddelde snelheid om de tijd te berekenen die je voor een bepaalde afstand nodig hebt.
Eenheden van snelheid zijn km/h en m/s. Voor hoge snelheden gebruik je km/s. In een
snelheid-tijd-diagram lees je af hoe de snelheid toeneemt (bij versnellen), constant blijft of
afneemt (bij vertragen). Eenparige beweging (geen versnelling), eenparige versnelling,
eenparige vertraging en versnelling.
Om in beweging te blijven is geen kracht nodig. Als er geen wrijving is, kan een beweging
eindeloos doorgaan zonder voorwaartse kracht. Als er twee of meer krachten op een voorwerp
werken, is de nettokracht het resultaat van alle krachten bij elkaar. Krachten op een
voorwerp kun je optellen of aftrekken als ze langs dezelfde lijn werken. Bij een nettokracht nul
(evenwicht van krachten) beweegt het voorwerp met een constante snelheid of staat het
stil. Bij versnellen werkt de nettokracht in de richting van de beweging; bij vertragen werkt
de nettokracht tegen de beweging in. Een grotere nettokracht veroorzaakt een grotere
versnelling. De remvertraging van een voertuig is de afname van de snelheid per seconde
