Een briefje valt door de brievenbus: “Ik wil je zien.” Vanaf dat moment kijken we een tijdje
mee in het leven van Floortje. Ze is 14 jaar en verliefd op een 46-jarige huisvriend van de
familie. En de liefde is wederzijds. Vanuit het perspectief van Floortje beleven we de
gedachten en mijmeringen over deze toch ietwat vreemde relatie.
Floortje gaat regelmatig stiekem met Muijs mee naar huis. Als Muijs bij haar ouders op visite
gaat en hij ’s avonds weg rijdt, knippert hij met zijn lichten om ook haar gedag te zeggen.
Haar ouders merken wel dat er iets gaande is, maar hebben geen idee met wie en al
helemaal niet dat ze verliefd zou kunnen zijn op een bekende van hun eigen leeftijd.
Wanneer Muijs eens in haar vel, of vlees, knijpt, vindt ze zich direct te dik en begint Floortje
met overgeven. Later zal ze zichzelf ook gaan snijden. Ze maken het een aantal keer uit,
maar het gaat telkens ook weer aan.
