Recht als maatschappelijke context:
- Wat is recht?
Regels vanuit de overheid waarin staat wat je wel en niet mag doen. Sommige regels
zijn opgeschreven in wetten.
Het recht moet ervoor zorgen dat mensen goed met elkaar kunnen samenleven.
Het recht=een weergave van normen uit de samenleving.
- Wat is een rechtsstaat?
Rechtsstaat is een uitvoering van het idee van een sociaal contract die de macht in de
samenleving regelt. De overheid heeft bepaalde macht om de burgervrijheid te geven
om controle uit te oefenen over zijn eigen leven.

Juridische begrippen:
1. Mensenrechten: alle mensen worden vrij en gelijk in waardigheid en recht geboren.
Zij zijn begiftigd met verstand en geweten, en behoren zich tegenover elkaar in een
geest van broederschap te dragen (artikel 1 van de universele verklaring van de
rechten van de mens).

- Autonomie in de filosofie:
Keuzevrijheid waar je verantwoordelijkheid voor draagt
Autonomie is een vermogen. Het vermogen om keuzes te maken.

- Autonomie in de psychiatrie:
Je kunt alleen keuzes maken als je kunt bedenken of die keuze bij je past. Je moet dus
een beeld hebben van jezelf
Autonomie ofwel keuzes maken in de psychiatrie:
1. De manier waarop de patiënt zich identificeert met hetgeen gebeurt en
2. De manier waarop andere personen een dergelijke identificatie als significant en
reëel (h)erkennen
Autonomie = respecteren van waarden en normen. Verantwoordelijkheid dragen
voor keuzes en gedeelde verantwoordelijkheid.

Wet verplichte GGZ (sinds januari 2020)
Uitgangspunten:
- Verplichte zorg is laatste redmiddel
- Zorg moet passen bij cliënt, kan dus ook thuis
- Recht op inspraak, bijvoorbeeld via plan van aanpak
- Verplichte nazorg
