Multi functioning devices are electronic devices used in everyday life which can perform multiple
tasks.
Printers
1. The Photocopier. First electro-photography photocopier in a process called Xerography (say
it as zerography)
2. Dot Matrix Printer. Introduced in 1957 it prints dots in a pattern to create an image.
3. Thermal Printers. Popular in 70s and 80s, it adds and image to thermochromics paper. The
chemical may have been toxic
4. Laser Printer. High quality printing, laser printing uses a chemical called toner that
electrically charges powered ink.
5. Ink jet printers. Developed in the 70s, uses droplets of ink to recreate the digital image. Ink
can be expensive to replace and you have to wait for ink to dry.
