1. The use of Frazer’s anthropological theory of religion by Junod to analyse Tsonga
religion based on information from his informant Elias ‘Spoon’ Libombo

2. Durkheim’s sociological theory of religion, which was constructed with reference to
Australian aboriginal religion, in comparison with Junod ‘s analysis of Tsonga religion

3. Freud’s psychological theory of religion as applied by Wulf Sachs to analyse the
