VTV OWE 1 samenvattingVitale functies zijn de belangrijkste functies van het lichaam en essentieel voor het
behoud van het leven. Een stoornis in een van de vitale functies leidt tot stoornissen
in een of meerdere andere vitale functies. Stoornissen in de vitale functies kunnen
uiteindelijk tot de dood leiden.
De controle van de vitale functies is een essentieel onderdeel van de
ABCDE-methode:
A= airway (luchtweg)
B= breathing (ademhaling)
C= circulation (circulatie/bloedsomloop)
D= disability (bewustzijn)
E= exposure (lichaamstemperatuur)
Vitale functies:
* Hartslag
meten bij geschikte plaatsen:
- slaap
- hals
- arm
- pols
- lies
- knieholte
- voetrug
- onderbeen
Normaal hartritme is 60-100 hartslagen per minuut.
Bij kinderen hoger→0-1 jaar= 110-160 p/m
1-2 jaar= 100-150 p/m
2-5 jaar= 95-140 p/m
5-12 jaar= 80-120 p/m
>12 jaar/volwassenen= 60-100 p/m
Tachycardie= verhoogde of snelle hartslag (>100 slagen p/m)
- Bij koorts, lichamelijke inspanning, stress, bloedingen, zuurstoftekort,
schildklierafwijking.
Bradycardie= verlaagde of langzame hartslag (<50 slagen p/m)
- Fanatieke sporters hebben in rust een verlaagde hartslag.
- Tijdens slaap, hartslagverlagende medicijnen.

2 vormen ademhaling:
1. Borstademhaling
2. Buikademhaling
Eupneu= normale ademhaling
- Volwassenen in rust: 8 tot 20 keer per minuut
- Automatisch en moeiteloos (rustig, regelmatig, zonder geluid)
Apneu= ademstilstand
- Bij sommigen stokt de ademhaling.
Hyperneu= diepere ademhaling
- Bij inspanning dieper inademen.
Tachypneu= sterk versnelde ademhaling
- Bij koorts en longontsteking sterk versnelde ademhaling. Ook bij lichamelijke
inspanning of een hartafwijking.
