EthicsIn the field of radiation protection the risk (= received dose) can be shared in the following ways:
Collective -> biggest disadvantage (high dose, no more than limit) for a small group.
Individual -> equally share the dose.
There is no universal right or wrong, there are however universal value judgements. (reported by
International Commission of Radiological Protection) and these are the base of the Radiation Protection
approach.
ICRP’S view on radiation protection:
Only a matter of science. It’s a problem of philosophy, and morality, and wisdom.
