• Stelsin/ general rules:
- Verbs –> end of sentence
- Pronouns change
- Use “dat”
- DON’T change (“vandag”, etc.)
• Bevelsin:
- “Moet” –> end before verb (e.g. die afrigter beveel die kinders: “Hardloop vining!”
–> die afrigter beveel dat die kinders vinnig moet hardloop.)
- Infinitief command: “dat” becomes “om” = geen “moet” (e.g. Die afrigter beveel
die kinders om vining te hardloop.)
*Uitroep: replace “hoera” with “met blydskap”/ “eina” with “met pyn” (e.g. Kiara se “hoera! ---” –>

• Vraagsin:
- Use “of” when question begins with a verb
- Verbs –> end of sentence
- Use question word when question begins with one (e.g. hoekom)

both verbs get “ge”)
• Skoonmaak/ other separable verbs = het…skoongemaak
• Ooreet/ other inseparable verbs = het…ooreet
• Be-,ge-,er-,ver-,her-,ont-,mis- = no “ge”
