MOTIVERING BOEKKEUZE
Ik las het Gouden Ei omdat ik zie dat veel mensen dit boek hebben gebruikt voor
Nederlandse boekbesprekingen en ik was benieuwd naar het boek. Ik keek ook
naar het gelezen boek op de lijst en las de recensies en het bleek een interessant
boek te zijn. Het boek was niet te dik, dus dat vond ik prettig.
SAMENVATTING
Rex Hofman en zijn vrouw, Saskia Elvest, gaan naar het beste mediterrane motel
in de buurt van Hyeres. Aangezien de kilometerteller al een tijdje niet meer
werkt, wordt de kilometerstand handmatig bijgehouden, weten Saskia en Rex
wanneer hij vol is en komen ze onderweg niet zonder benzine te zitten. Dat gold
ook voor dit voertuig, en na een paar kilometer vliegen vond Saskia het tijd
worden om te versnellen. Ze wil tenslotte niet opnieuw beleven hoe ze alleen aan
de zijlijn staat zonder benzine terwijl Rex naar een afgelegen tankstation moet
lopen. Ze tanken bij een tankstation en Saskia vindt tijd om te relaxen. Dus gaat
ze drinken en besluit dan haar angst te overwinnen: ze rijdt de rest van de weg
