Obesity is defined as excessive or abnormal fat buildup that causes health risks. A
body mass of above 25 is concluded as overweight, while a body above 30 is considered
obese stress (Joslyn, Mark and Donald, P 97-103) . Over the years, the issue of obesity was
rare, but recently the subject of obesity has increased threefold ( Hales and Craig, et al. P
1723-1726). Despite the awareness created by the health organization, over 5000 million of
the dying population succumb due to obesity ( Hales and Craig, et al. P 1723-1726) . Besides

108). The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic on food insecurity has exposed many Americas to the threat of obesity. This study aimed at calculating the economic impacts of disease on obesity in the united states (Josline and Donald, p) . This study uses data from approved Surname 2
sources of data collection and analysis. The total cost involved is calculated from the immediate cost of health care of treating the problem and the indirect cost, which reduces the economic productivity of the people suffering from obesity. Hence the direct cost and the indirect cost are calculated and presented in different ways. The obesity level varies among the states and areas in the united states. Colorado has recorded the lowest percentage of obesity among adults, while Mississippi records the highest percentage of obesity among adults (Ward, Zachary J., et al. P 2440-2450). Statistics are extracted from the Centre of Disease Control Prevention's Behavioral Risk Factors surveillance system (BFRSS) stress (Joslyn, Mark and Donald, P 97-109). The twelve states have recorded 35% of obesity among
adults; the states include “West Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Michigan, Louisiana, Kentucky, Kansas, Indiana, Arkansas, and Alabama stress (Joslyn, Mark and Donald, P 97-103).”
Reports indicates that obesity has significantly increased among the youths in the US with the recent statistics indicating that 19.3 % of U.S young generation between the age of 2 and 19 faces the threat of obesity (Ward, Zachary J., et al. P 2440-2450). As a result, being obsessed causes health-related problems to children when they become adults. Therefore, children with obesity usually experience the problem of hypertension and high cholesterol. Such conditions normally make the health of adults deteriorate as time passes by. It is recommended that children and adults should be diet-wise to control the risk of having obesity. Regular exercise such as walking and jogging is also one of the best methods of controlling obesity among youths. Demographic trends effect on obesity rates
Controlling the weight is crucial in preventing obesity, and the demographic trends and conditions must be maintained. Research indicates that the more the income, the lesser
