Mycelium bestaat uit hyphen (cellen
naast elkaar) en de sporen zitten op de
kopjes van de hyphen
Hyphen kunnen ofwel gesepteerde hyphen zijn ofwel niet
Coenocyte hyphen zijn de niet-gesepteerde alles vervloeit
met elkaar
Algemene structuur gisten
• Rond tot ovaal (groter dan bacterie! 3-15 µm)
• Facultatief anaeroob
• Bud = knopje = blastosporen
• Pathogene gisten delen door budding
(asymmetrisch) op de knopjes kunnen nog
meerdere knopjes komen
• Als de knopjes blijven hangen (komen niet los) = pseudohyphen
Algemene structuur van dimorfe funghi
Kunnen zowel als gist of als schimmel voorkomen
• Typisch is thermaal dimorfisme
bij 37C komt het als gist voor, bij 25C als schimmel
Subcellulaire structuur
