All pieces of the workforce puzzle must be aligned correctly to create a functional and

efficient process in organizational behavior. Some may not look at leadership or management

right away as the most significant issue to solve problems. In Henry Lindborg's magazine article

"Predicted on Proof" of 2019, Henry explains how stakeholders may be looking at management

to protect the people's basic fundamentals. A quick search in the University of Arizona Global

Campus library for organizational behavior will lead one to an article as such. As an

organization, it is crucial to know how to make the best decisions and how to build a process for

credible management.

The article "Predicted on Proof" explains a process of which management may and

should start using to help make better decisions in a goal to better manage, in this case,

performance and incentives (Lindborg, 2019). The method the article explains is evidence-based

management (EBM). Just as understanding input-process-output (IPO), EBM takes a stance on

how that can be used as evidence to strengthen management within an organization (Uhl-Bien et

al., 2020). The article focuses on how managers make decisions based on the importance of the

article and the best way management can become more effective in their day-to-day decision-

making process. As different organizations and institutions are researching the evidence behind

how they make their managerial decisions, the more they realize that there are not many that

have evidence-based decisions.

, The author speaks of giving a conference at the American Accounting Association and

identified that the decisions being made were not based on evidence. The audience agreed that

they recognized the lack of evidence and believed most institutes were faced with the same issue

(Lindborg, 2019). Once the institutes have realized these issues in evidence gathering to create



proper decision-making, the author takes a turn into finding credible evidence and creating a

good decision-making process. The use of every team member and not just the leadership or

management to gather evidence has been shown to provide high-quality evidence that will

benefit the individuals of the team, leaders, and the organization. Collaborating with the different

departments in researching the evidence for what goals they are trying to achieve has become a

tool of efficiency and happiness in the team work-life balance.

The track taken to come up with the evidence and implement the work to make for a

better way of executing tasks makes it difficult for the individuals to debias themselves based on

the studies they have researched and found answers to (Lindborg, 2019). The issues within

organizations and trying to find the best way to make something work is to make a decision and

try it. Those decisions are not always the best to implement, but it becomes an experiment based

on trial and error. When making these decisions without evidence of them working, the hopes are

that the mistakes that arise are not too detrimental to the organization or goals of completing

tasks. When individuals or groups take the time to put in the research into finding evidence of

what could work, the issue becomes that because one made the decision based on their own

research, it may be difficult to identify the flaws, which may create a path to poor decision

making.

Poor decision-making is what certain institues have become more problematic over

because stakeholders question why and how decisions were being made and their bases. As

management sees these types of questions arise, the problems are they become worrisome of
