1.1 Inleiding: psychopathologie/psychiatrische stoornis

Psychopathologie = wetenschap of studie van het geestelijk of psychisch lijden
- Pathos = last

2 benaderingen:
- Syndroombenadering
o Psychologie van het pathologische (= gegroepeerde entiteiten)
o Samenhangend geheel van klachten en symptomen
o Behandeling wordt bekeken obv het gemiddelde wat voor de meeste mensen
werkte
- Symptoombenadering
o Pathologie van het psychisch (= algemene psychische processen of functies)
o Beschrijven van psychisch functioneren
§ Bv.: bewustzijn, gevoelens,…
o Cliënt een behandeling op maat geven obv hun symptomen

2 typen diagnosen:
- Syndroomdiagnose
o Synoniem: descriptieve diagnose
o Alleen beschrijvend en geeft geen info over de redenen en manier van
ontstaan
- Structuurdiagnose
o Beschrijving van de symptomatologie waardoor en op welke wijze het
syndroom ontstaan is
o Verschillende factoren
§ Predisponerende of voorbeschikkende factoren = factoren die iemand
kwetsbaar maken
§ Precipiterende of uitlokkende factoren = factoren die de stoornis
uitlokken
§ Perpetuerende of onderhoudende factoren = factoren die de stoornis
onderhouden
o Klinisch relevant

Abnormaal verschijnsel = afwijkend van de sociale norm of van wat in de cultuur als normaal
gedrag geldt
- Veroorzaakt ongemak, lijden of bezorgdheid bij de betrokkende en/of omgeving

Bio-psycho-sociaal model:
- Medisch model
o Etiologie: het ontstaan
§ Predispositie = oorzakelijke factoren
§ Precipitatie = uitlokkende factoren
§ Perpetuatie = in standhoudende factoren
o Pathogenese: ontwikkeling
