, Before we started working on our initial prototype, we gave it a lot of thought. The
fuselage, tail, wing, and nose of our aircraft are made up of four different parts. we made
our nose pointy so that it is as aerodynamic as possible, and we chose to mount the wing
and horizontal stabilizer at the top of the plane. We strive to make the fuselage of the
airplane as smooth as possible to reduce drag by tapering the entire aircraft with strips of
paper. We were required to use the Clark Y14 profile for the wing, as well as making the
wing 42cm wide. The width of the wing was the hardest to design and reason with
because if the wing is too wide, it will generate too much lift, which will increase the angle
of attack, causing the aircraft to stall. However, the wing cannot be too small since there
would be insufficient lift to keep the plane in the air. We've set a goal of flying our plane
three meters. We believe that to achieve the longest feasible flight time, we must establish
a good balance between the size of the aircraft's wing area and its angle of attack.

- W = m*g
- Lw/Lh = CL*1/2*Rho*v2*S
- Rho = P/(Rs*T)
- The sum of the horizontal forces: - Fthrust + Fdrag = 0
- The sum of the vertical forces: Lw – W + Lh = 0
- The sum of the moment forces: - Lw * XLW + Lh * XLh = 0
A4 80 gram per m2 =4,5x
W = 0,061*9,81 = 0,59841 N A4 200 gram per m2 =1x
Rho = 101300 / (287*288,15) = 1,22 kg/m3 A3 80 gram per m2 =1x
Straws 1 gram =11x
Glue =5 gr
Lw = 1,102*1/2*1,22*(4,0)2*(0,0432 (-> 3)) = 0,46463 N Totale gewicht =0,061kg
Lh = W – Lw = 0,59841 N – 0,46463 N = 0,13377 N
SLh = 0,13377 N / (1,102*1/2*1,22*(4,0)2) = 0,01244 m2

We made a slow-motion video of
our plane throwing to measure the
speed. We were able to determine
the speed in meters per second by
attaching a tape measure to the
wall and keeping track of the time
over that distance and divide them
by each other. We also looked at
the angle of attack of the airplane
and we measured an angle of 16
degrees. This gives us a CL of
1,102
