,Executive summary

PostNL is the biggest mail and parcel deliverer in the Netherlands. They also deliver in Belgium,
Luxembourg and a lot of other countries. They deliver around 900.000 packages and 6,8 million
letters on a daily basis. PostNL is an indispensable link between the sender and the receiver.

This report concerns a report integral business analysis for the company PostNL. This report is made
with data from an Excel analysis model for PostNL, the annual report of PostNL and the internet. The
company is viewed from several points in this report.

PostNL is very focused on customers, innovation, durability, grow in the e-commerce and to
collaborate. The stakeholders analysis showed us that shareholders, customers, suppliers, employees
and society are the main stakeholders. Thereafter the industry analysis showed that PostNL has a
strong market position and that the market is not easy to enter. The biggest treats for PostNL are the
intern competition and substitution threat. The fundamental analysis showed that the equity is not
that much higher than the debt. The liquidity is rising and the profitability is also positive since 2017.

PostNL has been listed on the stock exchange since 2011. The investment indicators show that
PostNL is doing well. The earnings per share and the dividend have declined somewhat in the recent
years. The dividend return is positive. This is good for investors because it allows them to see how
much profit can be made from the investment.

The portfolio analysis, the revenue and the profit analysis show that the business unit parcels is the
most profitable for PostNL. The business unit mail in the Netherlands gets less over the years. This is
happening because of the digitization. The business unit mail in the Netherlands will never disappear.
PostNL has a monopoly on the market of that business unit.

The forecast that has been made shows a prediction for the years 2020 and 2021. The results show
that the revenue will rise, the external costs will decrease, the personnel costs are rising and the
operating result will increase which mean the taxes will also increase. The price will also continue to
rise as long as the corona crisis is ongoing in the Netherlands.
