, Ways of signaling
Preventive action is closely related to the peculiarities of the situation, the nature of the problems
to be prevented and the characteristics of the mutual relationships between the different actors:
client system, social workers and others directly or indirectly involved. Therefore, you can be
actively involved in one or more of the following ways.

Collective prevention Individual prevention

Generic prevention Specific prevention

Situational prevention Person-oriented prevention

Indirect prevention Direct prevention

COLLECTIVE PREVENTION
Collective prevention is aimed at groups of different sizes, in this case we are talking about
prevention for the well-being of different groups of people in their work environment, for
example.

INDIVIDUAL PREVENTION
Individual prevention is aimed at a single person (often in the form of guidance, support, or
advice) for example.

GENERIC PREVENTION
Generic prevention is broader and more general in nature, and it focuses on a previously
identified neighborhood, urbanization, or group of people to prevent problems in a more general
sense. For example, that young people are trained in social skills that strengthen their reflection
capacities or their self-reliance so that early school leaving, or juvenile delinquency can be
prevented.

SPECIFIC PREVENTION
Specific prevention focuses on preventing a problem or danger specific, defined. As it can be, for
example, vaccination against covid in risk groups. To prevent the increase in deaths from the
disease.
