• Een budget opstellen is een continu proces.
• Het is juridisch sluitend er is dus een schriftelijke bevestiging van offertes nodig
(vraag een bestelbon op!).
• Je doet het in Excel (Excel of Numbers = KEY).
• Een Break Even Point is het punt waarbij je uit de kosten bent.
• Laat je bijstaan indien je niet zeker bent over iets (better safe than sorry)
• Een budget is ≠ met een begroting.
o Een begroting is de bedrijfsvoering voor de komende jaren.
• Een budget = toekomstige lange termijnplanning onderbouwd met cijfers.

1.1 Wat is het budget?
• Het gaat over (een duidelijk overzicht van de) inkomsten en uitgaven van het event
• Het is belangrijk om reële cijfers te toetsen aan het budget = kostenbewaking
• Gedetailleerd!! Ga in detail!
• Zorg dat er geen verrassingen/ no assumptions zijn!
• Vergeet je marge (%) niet toe te voegen!

Een budget is een beleidsinstrument, waarbij er dus zowel een raming wordt gemaakt van
wat verondersteld wordt te gebeuren, en een registratie van wat er gebeurt (tijdens of na
het evenement). Het budget fungeert als een middel om de prognose te vergelijken met de
werkelijkheid en het stelt de doelstellingen voor de organisator vast. Een budget zal dikwijls
aangepast worden naargelang het tijdstip van het evenement nadert en er nieuwe
informatie vrijkomt over de kosten in de inkomsten van allerlei onderdelen in het
planningsproces.

1.1.1 Budget als een verkoopsargument
• Het geeft duiding aan je offerte. In je offerte wordt alles uitgesplitst, je maakt het duidelijk in
je budget waar je naartoe gaat.
• Is het iets haalbaars? Reality check bij klant.
• De basis van het contract.
• Geef transparantie en vertrouwen naar je klant toe. Geef veel duiding naar je klant toe.

• Verplichting naar financiële instelling en/of sponsors
