Inleiding
Zoals op de voorpagina te zien valt heb ik het boek Max Havelaar van Multatuli gelezen. Net
als bij het vorige boek wat ik heb gelezen, is de voornaamste reden dat ik voor dit boek heb
gekozen dat het boek van voor 1900 dateert. Verder is Max Havelaar ook een zeer bekend
boek. Ik heb al een aantal keer wat gelezen en gehoord over dit boek. Onder andere bij
literatuurgeschiedenis in de 5e.
Bij dit boek had ik van te voren wel wat verwachtingen. Aangezien ik er al vrij veel over heb
gehoord en gelezen. Ik wist dat het zou gaan over Nederlands-Indië en de misstanden daar,
en dat deze roman voor veel veranderingen heeft gezorgd. Ik verwachtte dat het wel een
goed boek zou zijn, niet perse leuk om te lezen, maar wel interessant.
