,Executive summary
First, the report describes the profile of the company Stern. The company offers many different
mobility services, among others: lease, damage repair, and insurance. Stern is one of the biggest
automotive concerns from the Netherlands and represents seventeen car brands. Stern’s strategy
focuses on digitalization, sustainability, and cost reduction.

Next, there has been made an external analysis for Stern. The external analysis consists of the
analysis of the macroeconomic environment and the analysis of the meso environment. This shows
that competition and new entrants are the most important threats for the company.

Besides the external analysis, there has been made an internal business analysis for the company.
The internal business analysis shows that Stern's key figures showed decreasing numbers in 2019 and
2020. From this, it can be concluded that Stern had difficulty paying the short-term debts. The gross
profit and net profit margin also deteriorated. Stern does, however, show healthy solvency.

Furthermore, the SWOT analysis is being discussed. In the SWOT analysis are the strengths and
weaknesses analyzed about the opportunities and threats. This shows a lot of opportunities for Stern
in terms of innovation and sustainability. Conversely, Stern also has threats, such as the Corona crisis
and the competition. A few strategic options came out of the SWOT analysis. The first option is more
focused on sustainability. Another option is to focus more on the growth of Stern Mobility Solutions.
However, Stern can also focus on downsizing the segment of Stern Car Services. The last option is to
expand internationally.

Moreover, there has been made a forecast for Stern. The forecast shows that 2021 and 2022 will
turn out to be a lot more positive for Stern Groep. The forecast shows that the turnover, fixed assets,
and loan capital will increase. In addition, it can also be seen that external costs and depreciation will
decrease.

Lastly, a conclusion was made from the report of Stern. The conclusion also contains the investment
advice for the shares of the company Stern Groep N.V. The short-term advice is not to invest in
Stern's shares. In addition, the long-term advice is to invest in the shares. This has to do with the
opportunities for Stern in the future.
