, INTRODUCTION

Flowering plants are a kind of vascular plant that reproduces by producing flowers.
Therefore, flowering plants, are also known as Angiospermae or Magnoliophyta. They are the
most diverse group of ground plants, with 64 orders, 416 families, nearly 13,000 known genera,
and 300,000 known species. Angiosperms are vascular plants. They have stems, roots, and leaves.
Unlike gymnosperms such as conifers and cycads, angiosperm seeds are embedded in a flower.
Angiosperm eggs are fertilized and grow into seeds in an ovary, which is normally found in a
flower. Next, a species is the smallest unit of classification. It consists of individuals that are
genetically similar and may breed with one another. Species are also classified into subspecies and
varieties based on minor distinctions between populations. A species is described by the
similarities and differences between its members and the differences between it and other species.
Then, flower sex refers to the presence or lack of male and female sections within a flower. Most
flowers are perfect or bisexual, with stamens and carpels. Bisexual flower sex is most definitely
the ancestral state of angiosperms. Many angiosperm taxa, on the other hand, have incomplete or
unisexual flower sex. Flowers in this case are either pistillate/female, with only carpels developing,
or staminate/male, with only stamens developing. Flowers are made up of calyx, corolla, stamens,
and a pistil or pistils (the four "regular parts"). Incomplete flowers lack one or two of the four usual
sections of a complete flower.
