● Week 3: Community Health Nursing Intervention. Complete the Third
Section of the course template and submit. By now, you should have Sections
1-3 as one whole document.
● Each section of the course template is submitted on a WEEKLY basis, depending on
which week you are working on. DO NOT wait to submit all three sections at the end of
the third week.
● Please note that students are not to make any changes to the content of the course

known for a particular name? What area is this community located

The boundaries of the community in question include a railroad, a canyon
and multiple major roads. The area does not have a particular name. The
10 block radius that encircles the designated focal point, encapsulates
most of Mission Viejo but also extends into Ladera Ranch.
● Housing What is the age of the houses? Describe type of construction
and Zoning material, appearance, and general condition. Do you see single
family housing? Multi-family housing?
There are many different housing options in this community. Most of the
homes are single-family and were built in the late 1970’s, with the
exception of the single-family homes in Ladera Ranch. These were built in
the early 2000’s. The older homes appear in good condition and are well-
maintained despite their age. Condominiums, apartments and townhomes
also occupy a great deal of space within this community. There are older
apartment buildings that appear more run down near the focal point of this
community, but near the outskirts, closer to Ladera, apartment buildings
and condominiums are newer, some even built in the last year. Overall,
though, this communities appearance is well-maintained and cared for.
