Base física de la contracción del músculo lisoEl músculo liso no tiene la misma disposición estriada de los
filamentos de actina y miosina que se encuentra en el músculo
esquelético.
Los filamentos de actina están unidos a los cuerpos densos. Algunos
de estos cuerpos están dispersos en el interior de la célula y se
mantienen en su posición unidos entre sí por un andamio de
estructuras proteicas. Otros están unidos a la membrana celular y
forman enlaces con los cuerpos densos de células adyacentes, lo que
permite que la fuerza de contracción se transmita de unas células a
otras. Por tanto, los cuerpos densos tienen una función similar a los
discos Z en el músculo esquelético.
Los filamentos de miosina están entremezclados entre los de actina.
Los filamentos de miosina presentan un diámetro más de dos veces
mayor que los de actina. Unidades contráctiles. Las unidades
contráctiles individuales consisten en filamentos de actina que irradian
desde dos cuerpos densos; dichos filamentos se superponen a un
único filamento de miosina que está localizado a mitad de camino
entre los cuerpos densos.
